Dr Joshua Fink is the Chief Clinical Instructor with the International Association of Medical Aesthetic Professionals, and
teaches Botox and Dermal Fillers, as well as laser technology and clinical applications of aesthetic lasers, throughout the US,
Asia and Australia. Botox and demal fillers, such as Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm, are used used to non-surgically
improve the appearance of the face and improve the contours that become more accentuated with the normal aging process.
Dr. Fink will often use the dermal fillers, as well as Botox, to enhance the results that can further be achieved with laser
resurfacing as well as chemical peels. Further, it has been shown that the repeated use of Botox and dermal fillers, such as
Restylane, can delay the onset of facial aging and act as a source of stimulating the continued production of collagen.
Botox, in general, lasts 3-8 months. Restylane and Juvederm tend to last about 6 months and
Perlane lasts about 8 months, but individual results may vary.
No. These injections result in mild discomfort at the most. Further, Dr. Fink uses an aesthetic
cream to further reduce any of the discomfort that may arise. Of course, bruising can occur with any injection.
Arnica and Bromelain may be used for several days before and after treatment to further reduce any bruising.
